Just a quick tip. I was trying to figure out something else, and I came across this. If you use playlists, you can separate the playlist from the player by just going to the View menu and clicking on Docked Playlist.
If this is checked, the playlist is embedded into the player but uncheck it and you can separate from the player as shown in my example.
