Back in 2007, "The Simpsons Movie" came out and Burger King sponsored a website called "SimpsonizeMe.com" (site no longer active). It allowed you to upload your picture to turn you into a Simpsons character. I tried it once but the end result, I didn't recognize myself. Sorry I don't have a copy of the end result. So for reasons beyond my understanding, the idea stuck in my head, I decided to try this again.
I found this site called photocartoon.net
Choose your photo you want to “Simpsonize” by clicking on the "Choose File" button. Then just click on the "CARTOONIZE ONLINE" button. The result, in my case, not very impressive.
Besides I came here to be a Simpson. To do this you have to look at the menu bar on the left-hand side of the page. Right now you see the "Simpsons" and "Simpsons2" options showing. Scrolling up and down this bar gives you a few more options. So I tried the one labelled "Simpsons" just by clicking on it.
Every time you change the effect by clicking one of these options you'll get a little popup towards the top asking if you want to "Apply this effect?" Click on OK.
Here is that result. Still not me.
The "Simpsons2" filter does the same thing but puts you in a frame.
So i decided to try a few of the other filters.
Me according to "Disney":
By the way when you want to download the final result just click on the "Download" button under your picture. You'll be taken to another page then again click on the "Download" button under your picture.
Me according to "Barbie":
The common theme here is that I look better as a cartoon than in real life. :-) Anybody know where I can grab a dimensional portal to the cartoon world.:-)
Me according to “Cartoon 2D”. I can almost see myself in this one.
You may notice the watermark “photocartoon.net” on the pictures. The only way to get rid of this is to pay for it. Clicking on the “REMOVE WATERMARK” button takes you to there product pay site.
They also have a desktop version of there program. It's basically a trial. It offers more options like the “Disney3D”. Where I found one where I can actually see myself.
You can only save in “Standard Resolution” not “High”. And the watermark is way worst on the free version. Hint: just screenshot the final result.
Came across this website through Facebook. It allows you to see what you would like like as a Hippie, Vampire, Pirate, etc. It's pretty simple to use. First go to: www.evadeaza.ro/games/
You can select what you want to look like. Just scroll down through the list and click on the option that interests you. I tried "Hippie, Vampire and Pirate" for my example.
Click on one selection and on the next page you'll be given an option to upload and image. Click on “Upload Image” and find a picture on your drive to upload.
Once uploaded, click on either “Male/Female” and then “Generate image”.
The only downside, no option to download the picture directly. Only to share on Facebook. So you would have to right-click on the picture and look for the “Save image” option in the right-click menu. Opera uses “Save image as...” The resolution in my case was 600x316 in .webp format.
The End Results:
What would you look like as a zombie? Go to makemezombie.com to find out. You’ll need a clear photo of your face in a JPG, PNG, or GIF format. A minimum background also helps.
Go to their website and click on the big green MAKE ME ZOMBIE! button. On the next screen Choose File, and find the picture you want to use. You’ll get a little pop-up in the middle of the screen (Play Across Zombieland).
It's recommended to skip this link. It has a reputation as a possible phishing site. Skip to go directly to your picture. A VirusTotal scan (done today - JUly 8 2024)only shows one scanner indicating it malicious. See scan results here: VirusTotal scan for MakeMeZombie
Simply "Skip” and get your image. You will be taken to your zombiefied picture. Click on "Save Image" to save it to your computer.I was going to wait for Halloween to write this… but… MUST EAT BRAINS NOW.
