VPN Connected But No Internet

Awhile ago, I purchased a lifetime license to the KeepSolid VPN service. I have it installed on my Windows 7 computer. After the last update, I lost my connection to the internet. The VPN wasn't detecting any error connections, but no matter which browser I used it claimed my Internet was blocked.

I went to tech support at KeepSolid and they suggested trying the different Protocols till I found one that worked.

To change protocols in the KeepSolid VPN service, open up the program and click on the hamburger menu, the three stacked lines in the top left-hand corner of the program.

Then click on Settings and then Protocols.

By default, it's on Optimal, which doesn't work for me.

You would have to try each one until you find one that works. So I clicked on the one called Wireguard. Then I went back to my browser but still couldn't get online.

So then I tried IKEv2 and I'm back online. This is for the KeepSolid product, but other VPNs could have similar issues and a similar solution to fixing them. Will not hurt to try.

Just an note: I evenyually switched to the OpenVPN protocol, it seems a bit faster.
