How To Use Revo Uninstaller

I was always a fan of the iobituninstaller until this morning. It popped up with update message, I allowed it but all I got was three programs I didn't ask for. Nor was I given any opt out options. Not a fan anymore.

For uninstallers, I also had Revo Uninstaller installed, you can get it here:

www.revouninstaller.com/revo-uninstaller-free-download

One of the down sides of Revo is that the free version doesn't allow you to uninstall more than one program at a time.

The program should automatically open to a list of your installed programs. So scroll through the list and find a program you want to uninstall.

I'm going to uninstall an old version of my income tax software called StudioTax 2019. So I could just highlight that line and click on the Unistall button at the top. Or right-click and click on Uninstall.

Then you get a message if you are sure you want to uninstall with an option to make a System Restore point. I kept that one checked.

Then click on Continue.

You'll get a message Are you sure you want to uninstall this product? Click on Yes, if you're sure.

The uninstaller will run. Depending on the program being uninstalled, you might get some prompts.

When finished, click on the Scan button. This searches for left-over bits, first reg entries.

After the scan click on Select all then Delete. Another confirmation prompt.

Then it will show you any left-over files, again, Select All and Delete. And confirm. And thats it.

You can also use this program to remove Windows Apps.

If you click on the Tools button across the top you'll get a side menu that pops out that gives you access to a few more utilitys. I haven't really investigated these options any further so don't be afraid to explore them yourself.
